Bryce Grays, a redshirt senior on the UTSA Roadrunners roster, has earned a spot on the 2026 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team, a honor that celebrates college football players who combine athletic talent with meaningful community service.
More than numbers on a stat sheet
Beyond his performances on defense, Grays has devoted countless hours to projects that lift his hometown of San Antonio, from hospital visits to youth sports clinics.
His volunteer work spans a range of initiatives, including the Get in the Game, Save a Life, and Power of Collegiate programs, as well as participation in San Antonio’s massive MLK March, one of the nation’s largest civil‑rights commemorations.
During the 2025 Frisco Bowl trip, he helped assemble meals for Frisco FastPacs, a nonprofit that delivers groceries to children when schools are closed, and he has organized toy drives and supported events such as the UTSA Diploma Dash and St. Luke’s Youth Track & Field Meet.
On the field and looking ahead
In 37 career games, he has logged 36 tackles, 22 solo stops, four tackles for loss, two sacks, two forced fumbles and a pass breakup, numbers that contributed to UTSA’s seven‑win 2025 season and a 57‑20 victory over FIU in the First Responder Bowl.

The Allstate AFCA Good Works Team will be announced in September, naming 22 student‑athletes plus an honorary head coach; one of them will be crowned team captain and receive the Allstate Wuerffel Trophy, underscoring the lasting influence of service‑driven leadership.
