Members of the McCabe Park Little League have taken matters into their own hands, raising private funds to supplement the municipal effort. Mark Mosley, a board director for the league, emphasized how the lack of adequate lighting has restricted field availability and delayed opportunities for many children.
If the council grants approval, the new lighting system could become operational as early as July, allowing the league to expand its roster and host additional games without the current scheduling bottlenecks.
