The Florida High School Athletic Association’s decision to eliminate the Rural classification has moved teams such as Chiefland, Williston and Hawthorne into Class 1A‑District 4, while Oak Hall, recent Sunshine State Athletic Association Class 3A champions, prepare to defend their title. Athletic directors note that the new alignment will affect scheduling and rivalry dynamics across the region.
Returning starters like Buchholz quarterback Andrew Whittemore, who amassed over 2,100 yards last year, and Oak Hall seniors Darius Medley, B.J.
