Defensive Overhaul and Early Tests
Head coach Lance Leipold has been candid about the team’s shortcomings, pinpointing the defense as the most glaring weakness. "We need to be more aggressive, more disciplined," he said during a recent press conference, emphasizing that the upcoming schedule will test the unit early with matchups against Missouri and Arizona State.
The early-season slate is further complicated by the departure of key talent and the integration of new faces.
