Wisconsin’s 2027 football recruiting class has climbed to No. 25 in the national rankings, a milestone achieved through 23 commitments that span 11 different states.
A Recruiting Surge in Madison
At the heart of the haul is four‑star running back Kingston Allen, a Wisconsin native who shattered the state’s single‑season rushing record with 3,436 yards and 57 touchdowns.
Safety Mekhi Williams, another four‑star recruit, brings a national top‑107 ranking and 10 career interceptions, adding depth to a secondary that has struggled in recent seasons.
The class also features tight end Korz Loken, who posted 28 catches for 425 yards and nine touchdowns as a sophomore, and offensive tackle Cole Reiter, the second‑best prospect in Wisconsin who chose the Badgers over other Big Ten programs.
Defensive lineman David Hill, a top‑90 national prospect, brings size and strength at 6‑foot‑2 and 315 pounds, while wide receiver Jai Jones contributed 54 receptions for 922 yards and 10 touchdowns last season.
Quarterback Jack Sorgi, who led his team to a 7‑4 record and 31 touchdowns, gives the class a proven signal‑caller, and the overall mix of speed, agility and athleticism is designed to compete more effectively in the Big Ten.
Coach Luke Fickell, now in his second full recruiting cycle, emphasizes that this group is not just about filling spots but about laying a foundation for sustained success after a period of on‑field inconsistency.
If the early returns are any indication, the Badgers could see a rapid turnaround, with the 2027 class poised to become the cornerstone of a program that aims to return to regular contention in the conference.
