Former Kansas State standout Michael Beasley is set to lead the Purple Reign squad in the latest edition of The Basketball Tournament, a single‑elimination competition that rewards the champion with a $2 million prize.
A high‑stakes reunion in Kansas
The team will face JHX Hoops in a best‑of‑three series that begins on July 21, with the opening game scheduled for 8 p.m. Central Time at Bramlage Coliseum. A second contest follows the next day at Lee Arena in Topeka, Kansas, tipping off at 7 p.m., and a potential third game returns to Bramlage on July 24 at the same evening hour.
Fans can purchase general‑admission tickets starting at $15, while a four‑pack of GA seats is available for $50. Both the Tuesday and Wednesday matchups will be televised nationally on FS1 and FS2 respectively, bringing the action to a broad audience.
The Purple Reign roster blends home‑grown talent with additional experienced players. Alongside Beasley, the lineup features Jacob Pullen, Xavier Sneed, Cartier Diarra, DaJuan Gordon, Mike McGuirl, Dominique Sutton, Austin Trice and Shaun Williams, while also welcoming non‑Kansas State prospects Brandon Childress, John Florevus and Tyonte Robertson.
With the stakes high and the venue changes adding a fresh backdrop, the series promises a compelling showcase of former college stars competing for both glory and the substantial prize pool.
