Four senior members of the Holy Cross Mustangs boys basketball team have signed their national letters of intent, marking the culmination of a breakthrough season that delivered the program’s first-ever state championship.
A Historic Achievement
The Mustangs capped the season with a 14‑point victory over Legacy Christian, a win that cemented their place in school history and attracted national attention.
Mou Tong and Akon Atak will continue their careers together at Western Oklahoma College, while Willy Atak heads to Otero Junior College in Colorado. Kon Marko Deng Kot, after positive interactions with his future coach AJ DeMond, chose Peninsula College in Washington.
Paths Forward
Each destination offers a distinct environment: Western Oklahoma College provides a close‑knit campus in Altus, Oklahoma; Otero Junior College brings the high desert vibe of La Junta, Colorado; and Peninsula College offers a Pacific Northwest setting in Washington.
