Concord University announced this week that Bryce Beavers has been appointed as an assistant coach for the school's men's basketball program, a move that brings a seasoned NAIA competitor into the program's developmental pipeline.
Beavers arrives after a series of coaching stops at Shawnee State, the University of Mobile and Florida Memorial University, where he helped each team secure NAIA tournament berths and, in the case of Shawnee State, a 24‑win season that culminated in a national tournament appearance.
Prior to his coaching career, Beavers played collegiately at Asbury University and enjoyed a standout high school career at Harvest Prep, where he contributed to a state championship squad, laying a foundation of winning culture that he now hopes to translate to the collegiate level.
Expressing his enthusiasm, Beavers said he is eager to “contribute to the program’s growth” and to work with the student‑athletes in building on the university’s recent successes.
