On Tuesday evening the Liberty Flames will host the Wake Forest Demon Deacons at Worthington Field, concluding a home schedule that has been defined by consistency and success. The game is set for 6 p.m. and marks the final appearance of the season on the familiar turf of Liberty Baseball Stadium.
A Milestone for Coach LeCroy
Head coach Bradley LeCroy, now in his second year at the helm, celebrated his 100th career coaching victory earlier this month with a 10-7 win over Hofstra. Under his guidance the Flames have compiled a 63-42 record, underscoring the rapid progress made since his arrival.
The team enters the final home game with a 19-11 record at Worthington Field, the fourth-best road mark in the nation, and a season total of 36 wins — the most the program has recorded since 2022. The Flames also boast a 17-5 record away from home, reflecting a balanced strength across venues.
Honoring the Seniors
Before the Wake Forest contest, Liberty took the opportunity to recognize 13 members of its senior class, a tribute that follows a tradition of celebrating graduating talent. The ceremony precedes the game against LA Tech, adding a sentimental note to an already eventful schedule.
Worthington Field, which opened in 2013, has been a cornerstone for the program, posting a 270-119 record over its history. The stadium also served as the venue for the 2025 CUSA Baseball Championship, further cementing its importance to the university's athletic identity.
Looking ahead, the Flames will close the 2026 regular season with a three-game Conference USA series at Middle Tennessee, a matchup that will wrap up both the home slate and the overall schedule. The upcoming games promise to add another chapter to a season that has already set numerous program benchmarks.
