A Reunion on the Court
Over the past two days, the Florida State men's basketball program hosted a rare gathering of its recent alumni, inviting a cadre of former standouts back to the practice facility.
Devin Vassell, Terance Mann, Patrick Williams, Trent Forrest, Mfiondu Kabengele, RaiQuan Gray, and Sardaar Calhoun took the floor alongside the current Seminoles, running drills and scrimmages that sparked a competitive buzz.
The veterans and the current squad shared meals in the locker room, swapping stories about travel, injury recovery, and the transition from college to professional basketball.
Former head coach Leonard Hamilton was on hand, watching the sessions and occasionally offering guidance, a reminder of the program’s deep roots.
Current head coach Luke Loucks praised the atmosphere, noting that the presence of seasoned players elevated the intensity and provided a priceless conduit for knowledge transfer to the younger roster.
Players spoke of the value of seeing veteran work ethic up close, with several current athletes citing the experience as a catalyst for their own development heading into the upcoming season.
