The Greater Middlesex Conference Baseball Coaches Association has revealed its 2026 All-Academic Team, a roster that celebrates senior athletes who have excelled both on the diamond and in the classroom.
The honor, announced this week, underscores the conference’s commitment to recognizing students who balance rigorous academics with competitive sports.

Member schools such as Carteret, Colonia, Dunellen and East Brunswick contributed to the selections, each sending representatives to the distinguished list.
Among the honorees are players like Gatik Bhardwaj, Dylan Chiera, Michael Dow and Jaidon Coello, whose performances have drawn praise from coaches and peers alike.
The team also includes a broader group of standout seniors — including Stephan Zappola, Robert Roma, Melissa Evans, Grant Lorentzen, Shloak Patel, Sean Dereka, Dalton Michael, Tyler Bacon, Jairo Marte Reyes, Mark Fultz, Harold Denney III, Yerandy Guzman, Kevin Kovach, Aiden Cruz, Joseph Foreman, Peyton Lynch, Aidan Kaplan, Brendan Lell, Michael Palumbo, Kris Almanzar, Harrison Eng and Gavin Slicner — who collectively illustrate the conference’s depth of talent.
Coaches highlighted the rigorous selection process, which evaluates not only statistical contributions but also grade point averages, community involvement and leadership qualities.
