Southeastern University has appointed Cale Brubaker as the new head coach of its men's basketball program, tapping a coach with nearly ten years of experience across NCAA Division I, II and NAIA competition.

Brubaker arrives after stints as an assistant at Northwest Missouri State University and a three‑year tenure at Ottawa University Arizona, where he helped the team reach its first NAIA Fab Four and secure two conference titles.
At the University of Texas at San Antonio, he contributed to a dramatic turnaround of the Roadrunners, engineering one of the nation’s most impressive Division I rebounds.
A former NAIA student‑athlete at MidAmerica Nazarene University, Brubaker helped the Pioneers win 91 games and advance to two Fab Four appearances, graduating with a history degree before earning a master’s in educational leadership from UTSA.
The program he now leads finished the 2025‑26 season with a 25‑7 record, captured third place in the Sun Conference and earned an at‑large berth that resulted in a first‑round victory in the NAIA National Tournament.
