A wave of transfers reshapes the Longhorns' roster
The offseason has seen a flurry of movement among the Texas Longhorns baseball roster, as eleven players who entered the transfer portal have each secured new collegiate homes.
Among them, Callum Early, who appeared in 11 games for the Longhorns without recording a hit, is headed to Florida State, where he will join a program that reached the College World Series last season.
Ashton Larson, a regular starter in left field during the team's opening game and later a first‑base mainstay on a College World Series‑qualifying squad, will continue his career at Texas Tech.
Where they're headed
Other destinations include the University of Houston, Coastal Carolina University, Texas Christian University, the University of Georgia, the University of Missouri, Wharton College, North Carolina State University, Duke University and Kansas State University, each welcoming a different piece of the Longhorns' talent pool.
The transfers also bring to light the varied roles these players held within the Longhorns system: Presley Courville, Andrew Ermis and Maddox Monsour combined for 25 starts on the mound, while relievers Kade Bing and Jason Flores saw limited action, and the remaining prospects — Jadyn Furgason, Will Hill, Cooper Rummel and Grady Westphal — did not see any game time in 2026.
