Rising Stars Shine at Peach Jam
John Calipari, the head coach of the Arkansas Razorbacks, and his assistants have traveled to North Augusta, South Carolina, to observe the Nike EYBL Peach Jam, a premier spring circuit that gathers the nation’s most coveted high school talent.
Among the standout performers is Beckham Black, the younger brother of former Arkansas point guard Anthony Black, who erupted for 37 points against Davion Thompson, underscoring his versatile skill set and reinforcing his status as a top 2027 prospect.
Davion Thompson, a five‑star guard who recently shifted from the 2027 to the 2026 class, has maintained a scoring average of 21 points per game while also contributing five assists and two rebounds, proving his impact despite the reclassification.
Caleb Ourigou, a four‑star center, has posted double‑digit rebounds alongside over six points per game, and his recent commitment to Arkansas over BYU, Kentucky and UConn has added a new interior presence to the Razorbacks’ recruiting class.
Devin Cleveland, a priority target for the Razorbacks, has averaged more than 16 points, four rebounds and nearly four assists per game, positioning him as a key backcourt piece for the future.
Demarcus Henry, another top 2027 prospect, has compiled 18 points, eight rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block per game, showcasing a well‑rounded skill set that has attracted considerable attention from college programs.
The impressive displays have reinforced Arkansas’s aggressive recruiting strategy, as the coaching staff evaluates how each prospect could fit into a roster that aims to contend nationally in the coming years.
