The Indiana University basketball squad is cruising through the FISU America Games in Lima, Peru, remaining unbeaten after three contests and poised for a final showdown before the team heads back to Bloomington.
A Dominant Run in Peru
The Hoosiers captured Group B with a decisive 107‑40 victory over Chile in the semifinals, a performance that underscored their depth and firepower.
Key contributors have been delivering solid numbers. Aiden Sherrell is averaging 16 points and seven rebounds per game, while Prince‑Alexander Moody posts 12.3 points and 4.6 assists. Vaughn Karvala leads the scoring with 20.3 points per outing, and Trevor Manhertz adds 5.6 points, 5.3 rebounds and three assists.
Other notable performances include Jaeden Mustaf’s 9.3 points and six rebounds, Markus Burton’s 8.3 points with 3.5 assists and 2.6 rebounds, and Trent Sisley’s 10.6 points and 5.3 rebounds. Bryce Lindsay, Darren Harris, Sam Alexis, and the rest of the roster have also contributed double‑digit scoring or steady rebounding throughout the tournament.
Looking Ahead to Monday's Finals
The schedule now moves to Monday, July 27, when the team will contest the third‑place game before the championship final. After the finals, the players will return to Bloomington to resume their collegiate season.
