Syracuse’s men’s basketball program enters the 2026‑27 season under new leadership, with Adrian Autry taking the helm after a period of transition that saw several key players depart.
The Orange’s non‑conference slate begins with a home opener against New Haven on November 2, followed by a matchup against Central Connecticut State on November 5. A road test in Indianapolis awaits on November 9 when Syracuse meets Indiana at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, and the team will travel to face Oklahoma on December 1 as part of the ACC/SEC Challenge. The regular season also includes a home game versus Providence on December 19 at the TD Garden in Boston.
A century‑plus rivalry renewed
The schedule highlights a much‑anticipated clash with Colgate on December 8 at the JMA Wireless Dome. It will be the 177th meeting between the programs, a series in which Syracuse holds a 129‑47 advantage, a lead built since the first encounter in 1908.
While the full conference calendar remains undecided, the Orange have confirmed additional contests against St. John’s and other opponents yet to be announced. The coaching staff, which also includes assistants Gerry McNamara, Eric Devendorf, Wes Johnson, Buddy Boeheim and Jimmy Boeheim, is focused on integrating new talent and preserving the program’s competitive edge.
