Moon grew up working at the Iowa 80 World’s Largest Truck Stop, a business his father Bill Moon acquired in 1964 and expanded into a regional landmark along Interstate 80. It was at Iowa that Moon met his wife, Renee Breckenridge Moon, during a first date at The Airliner in downtown Iowa City, where they watched the Hawkeyes defeat Penn State.
