Central to Pollack’s optimism is the appointment of Jon Sumrall as the program’s new head coach. Sumrall arrives after a four‑year stretch in which he guided both Troy University and Tulane University to winning records, establishing a reputation for steady improvement and disciplined play.
Adding to the buzz, former Georgia assistant Buster Faulkner has been brought on staff to oversee the offense. Faulkner’s tenure as offensive coordinator at Georgia Tech, where he helped shape a high‑powered attack, is seen as a perfect fit for Sumrall’s vision.
