The Vicksburg Soccer Organization’s Adult League Soccer Summer Series has drawn 45 participants who are divided into four competitive teams. The roster reads like a snapshot of the town’s soccer history, featuring former all‑county standouts, college‑level players, state and regional champions, as well as recent transplants from other municipalities.
What sets the series apart is its multigenerational makeup. Players range from those who first chased a ball in U‑8 youth leagues to recent college graduates, creating a tapestry of experience that stretches from teenage prodigies to seasoned adults who once wore the same club jerseys.
A Reunion on the Pitch
The tournament has also become a reunion of sorts. Former teammates who grew up together on VSO squads from U‑8 through U‑19 have found themselves on opposing sides of the field, swapping stories and laughter as they rediscover the chemistry that once defined their youth sides.
