A new era for SEC baseball
The 2026 SEC Baseball Tournament will take place from May 19 to May 24 at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium in Alabama, bringing together a 16‑team field that includes the conference’s most dominant programs.
Georgia enters as the top seed after capturing nine of its ten SEC regular‑season series, while Texas, Texas A&M and Alabama round out the top four. Vanderbilt, historically a powerhouse, finds itself seeded 12th after a tiebreaker loss to Oklahoma, underscoring the competitiveness of the field.
Innovations on the diamond
This year’s event introduces the ABS System, a technology that permits teams three video challenges per game, aiming to improve call accuracy and add a strategic layer for coaches.
Broadcast coverage will be anchored by the SEC Network, with the championship game slated for ABC. Fans can also stream the action via the ESPN app, ESPN+ and Fubo, ensuring broad accessibility across platforms.
The tournament schedule culminates on Sunday, May 24, when the final will be played under the lights, promising a high‑stakes finish to a season that has already delivered plenty of drama.
