Awards and Accolades
The Siena College men's basketball team has once again been recognized for its commitment to academic excellence, capturing the 2025‑26 National Association of Basketball Coaches Team Academic Excellence Award. This marks the fourth consecutive season the program has earned the honor, underscoring a sustained culture of scholarship alongside competition.
The team posted a collective 3.12 grade point average for the 2025‑26 academic year, a figure that places it among more than 400 men's basketball programs nationwide that received the award. In addition to the academic distinction, Siena celebrated its eighth conference championship in the most recent season, a testament to the program's on‑court success.
Spotlight on Scholars
Individual recognition arrived for six student‑athletes who earned spots on the NABC Honors Court, a distinction that highlights those who maintain a minimum 3.2 GPA while balancing rigorous athletic demands. Graduate student Riley Mulvey secured his third consecutive placement, boasting a perfect 4.0 GPA and a Data and Analytics Certificate.
Other honorees include Brendan Coyle, who earned his second straight Honors Court nod with a 3.68 cumulative GPA; Marcus Jackson, also a repeat selection with a 3.56 GPA; Mosi Clayton, who received his first commendation with a 3.44 GPA; Tasman Goodrick, a communications‑marketing major holding a 3.26 GPA; and Reid Ducharme, who garnered his inaugural placement with a 3.20 GPA.
These achievements reflect a broader institutional emphasis on integrating athletic ambition with academic rigor, positioning Siena's program as a model for collegiate sports programs seeking to excel in both arenas.
