A New Era for Eagle Racing
The announcement came on the historic concrete oval of North Wilkesboro Speedway, the very track where Goodyear claimed its first NASCAR victory with Eagle radial tires nearly half a century ago. Surrounded by the echoes of that breakthrough moment, the company took the opportunity to showcase a fresh look that will adorn the sidewalls of its racing tires beginning in 2027.
The redesign features the newly released Goodyear and Eagle logos positioned prominently on the tire sidewalls, a visual tribute that celebrates more than 45 years of Eagle heritage in motorsports. The styling is part of Goodyear’s broader “Fast Is In Us” campaign, a narrative that ties the brand’s legacy of speed, performance and relentless innovation to its future ambitions.
While the unveiling was rooted in tradition, the rollout will extend far beyond a single event. Goodyear plans to integrate the updated branding throughout its global racing program, ensuring that the new aesthetic appears on vehicles and support materials across its worldwide motorsport activities.
Justin Fantozzi, Goodyear’s director of racing for the Americas, highlighted the significance of NASCAR in shaping the Eagle legacy. “NASCAR has been the crucible in which Goodyear Eagles have proven themselves,” he said, underscoring how the sport continues to serve as a proving ground for the brand’s engineering prowess.
The new sidewall artwork is designed to honor the past while embracing what lies ahead. By marrying classic Eagle motifs with contemporary design elements, Goodyear signals a commitment to evolve without losing sight of the heritage that defined its racing DNA.
