Nebraska's football program has received a boost in its 2027 recruiting efforts with a favorable projection for three-star offensive lineman KD Jones, a Georgia native who sits at No. 83 in the national rankings.
The Recruiting Landscape
Jones, listed at six-foot-four and 268 pounds, already holds scholarship offers from Georgia, Auburn, South Carolina and UCLA, underscoring the attention he commands from top programs.
The Cornhuskers' primary recruiter is offensive line coach Geep Wade, who has taken a hands-on approach, while assistant coach Lonnie Teasley serves as a secondary point of contact.
Jones visited Lincoln on May 6 and is slated to return for an official visit on June 5, a timeline that could prove decisive as he weighs his options.
The 2027 class currently sits at No. 17 in the Rivals Team Rankings, holding eight commitments, four of which are blue-chip prospects. A pledge from Jones would not only add depth to the line but also reinforce Nebraska's ambition to climb higher in the national standings.
Beyond the immediate impact, the commitment could ripple through the roster, especially as other targets, such as Barrett Kittrell, gauge their own interest.
