The 2026 Iowa high school state baseball tournament will unfold over five days, from July 20 through July 24, at venues in Cedar Rapids and Carroll. The event gathers the state’s most promising talent, drawing families, scouts and enthusiastic fans to witness a showcase of skill and competition.

Lincoln Dalton from Pleasant Valley posts a 7‑1 record with a 0.66 ERA and regularly strikes out more than nine batters per game. Dalton Klein of Remsen St. Mary's adds a 10‑1 record and 93 strikeouts, and Brayden Moore of Waukee enters the tournament unbeaten at 10‑0 with a 0.68 ERA and 72 strikeouts. Ryan Stedman of West Des Moines Valley rounds out the rotation with a 0.71 ERA and 96 strikeouts in just eight appearances.

At the plate, Nolan Dittmer of Davenport Assumption leads with eight home runs, 42 RBIs and a .500 average, while Ty Heydon of Coon Rapids‑Bayard tops the state with a .609 batting average and 64 RBIs. Cal Jepsen from Sioux City East maintains a .508 average and hits six home runs, and Matt Meeker of Waukee drills 11 homers with a .442 average. JJ Phillips of Pleasantville contributes a .505 average and 64 RBIs, and Brady Rissman of Western Dubuque leads Class 3A with 57 RBIs and a .446 average. Quinn Flanagan, a sophomore from Wahlert Catholic, paces Class 3A with nine wins and a 1.48 ERA, and Evan Schmierer of Iowa City Liberty tops Class 4A with 40 stolen bases.

Aiden Frey of Roland‑Story leads the tournament with 50 stolen bases in 33 games, and Evan Schmierer’s 40 steals highlight his dynamic presence on the bases.
