Brody Gullo, a 22‑year‑old recent graduate of Florida State University, has been appointed head baseball coach at Royal Palm Beach High School, taking over a program that has not posted a winning record since 2017.
The son of longtime Palm Beach Central coach Tony Gullo, Brody spent four seasons playing for his father’s team before graduating in 2022, then earned a degree in sports management while competing on the university’s club squad.
After an elbow injury ended his playing career, Gullo turned to coaching, leading a 16U travel team over the summer and remaining on staff as a mentor for younger players.
Athletic director Eric Patterson cited Gullo’s vision for integrating academic excellence with a competitive spirit as the primary reason for his hiring.
