LeCroy, a graduate of Clemson University, stepped into the role after succeeding Scott Jackson, who departed after eight years to join the coaching staff at the University of North Carolina. The transition in the summer of 2024 marked the beginning of a new era for the Flames.
The program’s early results under LeCroy’s leadership showed promise, with the inaugural squad posting a 30‑27 record. The following year, the team surged to a 43‑21 finish, earning its first NCAA Tournament berth since 2022 and signaling a rapid ascent.
Breakthrough Season
That breakthrough paved the way for a productive draft cycle, as four Flames were selected in the 2026 MLB Draft, highlighted by right‑hander Ben Blair, a second‑round pick who also captured the 2026 C‑USA Pitcher of the Year honor.
