The Mississippi Valley Conference announced its all‑division honors this week, recognizing the top performers from across the region. Both Liberty High and City High contributed five athletes to the list, underscoring the depth of talent in the area.
Evan Schmierer of Liberty High stood out by earning a unanimous first‑team selection in the Mississippi Division. He topped the league in several key offensive categories, including batting average, runs, hits, doubles, triples, stolen bases, slugging percentage, on‑base percentage and OPS.
Second‑Team Selections and Honorable Mentions
Eric Strunk and Jordan Schroeder were named to the second team for the Mississippi Division, while Jaryn Sertterh and Pryor Reiners received honorable‑mention recognition. Owen Harms from West High also earned a first‑team nod as a corner infielder.
City High matched Liberty’s representation with five honorees of its own. Paxton Bell was selected unanimously for the first team as a utility player, and pitcher Adam Bowman secured a first‑team spot in the Valley Division. Del Brewer earned a second‑team berth as a corner infielder, while Chris Davis and Cal Vitense were placed on the honorable‑mention list.
