The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) has revealed its 2026 Baseball All-Academic Team, a roster that celebrates student-athletes who excel both on the diamond and in the classroom.
What it takes to make the list
To earn a spot, a player must complete at least two semesters of coursework and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale, demonstrating a commitment to academic rigor that matches their athletic performance.
This year, Manhattan University stood out with 18 players earning the distinction, the largest single-institution contribution among the conference’s members. Among the honorees are Ryan Brader, Josiah Brown, Andrew Brown, Matthew Corwin, Joseph Duffield, Ivan Epps, Trevor Hansen, Aidan Katzman, Landon Kuntzelman, Andreaus Lewis, Ryan Lordier, Dylan Mayer, Will Pires, Braeden Romero, Jacob Smoot, Jeremy Sosa, Preston Tamm and Brant Vicini.
The recognition underscores the conference’s growing emphasis on integrating scholarly achievement with competitive sport, a trend that reflects broader shifts in collegiate athletics toward holistic student development.
