The poll, which gathered responses from a broad cross‑section of fans, found that 65 percent of participants believe Purdue will finish the non‑conference slate with a winning record.
Home‑field matchups set the stage
Purdue will host three non‑conference opponents on its own turf: Indiana State, Wake Forest and the storied Notre Dame Fighting Irish, the latter playing at Notre Dame's campus but scheduled as a home game for the Boilermakers.
Among those surveyed, 61 percent specifically forecast a 2‑1 finish, while an additional four percent anticipate a perfect 3‑0 outcome, pushing the total proportion expecting a winning record to 65 percent.
Only a small minority, about two percent, predict a bleak 0‑3 sweep, underscoring the overall bullish sentiment.
