Colorado College’s men’s ice hockey program has once again distinguished itself off the rink, as every eligible player from the 2025‑26 squad earned a place on the National Collegiate Hockey Conference’s Honor Roll for academic excellence.
A Milestone for the Tigers
The achievement marks a record‑setting performance for the program, with all 27 eligible athletes from the roster being recognized. Eleven of those players also received the league’s Distinguished Scholar‑Athlete designation, underscoring a deep commitment to both athletic and academic excellence.
To qualify for the Honor Roll, a student‑athlete must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and have completed a full academic year. For the Distinguished Scholar‑Athlete honor, a 3.5 GPA or better is required over a full year of study.
Among the newly recognized were Wilson Björck, Beckham Dempsey, Connor Hvidston, Shane Kozlina, Brandon Lisowsky, Matteo Mann, Mateo Mrsic, Tomas Mrsic, Colton Roberts, Brayden Schuurman, Merril Steenari, Jackson Unger and first‑year transfer Seth Constance. Their inclusion brings the total number of CC representatives on the league’s academic lists to a new high.
Not all roster members met the eligibility threshold; rising sophomore Mats Lindgren, who completed only half of the academic calendar, was excluded from the recognition.
The broader impact is evident across the conference, where 209 student‑athletes earned Honor Roll status and 153 were named Distinguished Scholar‑Athletes this past season. Colorado College’s tally of 23 Distinguished Scholar‑Athletes ties for the most in the NCHC, reflecting a league‑wide emphasis on scholarly achievement.
