Norwich University's women's ice hockey program continues to strengthen its outlook for the 2026‑27 season after revealing an eight‑player incoming class that promises to augment depth and experience.
Geographic diversity fuels new talent
The newcomers hail from four U.S. states, three Canadian provinces and Germany, bringing a blend of regional talent that reflects the program's expanding reach.
Among them, forward Greyce Kennedy from Upper Tantallon, Nova Scotia, arrives after back‑to‑back Atlantic league championships, while Kaitlyn Dill of Elmhurst, Illinois, brings national camp experience and high school leadership.
The class also includes standout defenders such as Jayden Russo of Northfield, Vermont, who set a school points record, and goaltender Madison Maloney from Denton, Maryland, a two‑time All‑Star selection.
The team will test the new roster in an exhibition match at Saint Anselm College on October 18 before opening the regular season on the road at Plattsburgh State University on October 31, with the Little East Conference opener slated for November 6 against Keene State College.
Head coach emphasized that the blend of seasoned contributors and fresh talent positions the program to build on its 26‑3 record from the previous year and to compete fiercely for another LEC championship.
