A packed season ahead
The Utah Mammoth will take to the ice for a record‑breaking 84‑game campaign in the 2026‑27 NHL regular season, the most games the franchise has scheduled since the 1993‑94 campaign. The season opens at home against the Chicago Blackhawks on October 1 2026.
The early stretch tests endurance, with 13 of the first 18 contests on the road, including a five‑game swing from October 3 to October 10, and the team will navigate ten sets of back‑to‑back games throughout the year. November will feature the most games of any calendar month with fifteen contests, while October will host fourteen.
Divisionally the Mammoth will meet each of the seven Central Division rivals four times and the eight Pacific teams three times, and will also face all 16 Eastern Conference clubs twice. The schedule includes three games against the Vegas Golden Knights, two at T‑Mobile Arena and one at the Delta Center, and two meetings with the Washington Capitals during Alex Ovechkin’s 22nd NHL season, one of which lands at the Delta Center on January 29 2027. Several former Mammoth players such as Ian Cole Olli Määttä JJ Peterka Alexander Kerfoot and Sean Durzi are slated to return to the Delta Center in 2026‑27.
A highlight will be the 2027 Winter Classic when the Mammoth host the Colorado Avalanche at Rice‑Eccles Stadium on December 31 2026, a game that coincides with the NHL All‑Star Weekend at UBS Arena on Long Island N.Y., featuring a five‑team international three‑on‑three tournament. All Utah Mammoth games, except exclusive nationally televised ones, will be available to watch live on Mammoth+ and Utah 16, and ticket packages for the 2025‑26 season are already on sale with single‑game tickets set to go on sale July 17 2026 at 10 A.M.
