Working alongside Audio Visual Design, the Hall’s technical team partnered with Christie and Applied Electronics to design a seamless installation that would showcase the sport’s history with crystal‑clear clarity.
Laser Technology Meets Hockey Heritage
In the TSN Theatre, a Christie M 4K15 RGB pure laser projector now delivers 15,750 lumens of brightness and native 4K UHD resolution, turning family‑friendly titles such as Little Big Shot into immersive experiences.
The adjacent Tim Hortons Theatre features a 4K860‑iS Inspire Series laser projector that pumps out 8,500 lumens, using the extra headroom to loop archival game footage that draws visitors back into classic moments.
Meanwhile, the National Bank World of Hockey Zone is illuminated by three blended GS Series laser units, collectively generating more than 20,000 lumens and ensuring that every corner of the exhibit glows with vivid colour.
Rodney Joffe, owner of Audio Visual Design, worked closely with Christie engineers to fine‑tune placement and settings, while Mike Dalton, vice‑president of Applied Electronics’ AV systems division, praised the coordinated effort that made the upgrade possible.
