The University of North Carolina Wilmington has unveiled its men’s basketball conference schedule for the 2026‑27 season, marking the seventh year under head coach Takayo Siddle. The release comes as the Seahawks prepare to blend a strong non‑conference slate with a demanding CAA slate.
Season Outlook
The season opens with a much‑anticipated conference showdown against longtime rival Campbell on Dec. 31 at Trask Coliseum, setting the tone for a campaign that will feature 20 home games and a series of road tests across the mid‑Atlantic.
Following the opener, Northeastern will visit for a two‑game homestand on Jan. 2, after which UNCW travels to face defending CAA tournament champion Hofstra on Jan. 23, a matchup that could prove pivotal in the league race.
Home contests will also include meetings with Towson (Jan. 16), William & Mary (Jan. 18), Hampton (Feb. 6), Stony Brook (Feb. 13), North Carolina A&T (Feb. 25) and Elon (Mar. 2), while the team will host College of Charleston on Jan. 28 at Trask Coliseum and again on Feb. 27 at TD Bank Arena in Charleston.
Road games comprise trips to North Carolina A&T (Jan. 7), Elon (Jan. 9), Monmouth (Jan. 21), Campbell (Jan. 30), William & Mary (Feb. 4), Drexel (Feb. 18) and Towson (Feb. 20), ensuring the Seahawks encounter a variety of playing styles and environments.
The schedule highlights a 20‑game home slate, three of which are part of the Live Oak Bank Holiday Classic, and culminates with the CAA Championship tournament in Washington, D.C., scheduled for March 5‑9 at CareFirst Arena, where the Seahawks aim to defend their recent success.
