The BIG EAST Conference announced its 2026 All-Second Team selections, honoring three standout Wildcats for their contributions on the diamond.
Collin Quintano, a senior from Villanova, earned his second consecutive spot after posting a .311 overall average, launching 11 home runs and driving in 46 runs. In conference play he batted .324 with four homers and 21 RBIs, underscoring his impact when the stakes were highest.
Sophomore JoJo Montgomery joined him on the list, ranking sixth across the league with a .356 average during BIG EAST matchups. He capped the season with four home runs and 19 RBIs, adding depth to the lineup.
Brayden Leonard, also a sophomore, led the Wildcats with 57 hits and 14 doubles, finishing the year at .302 with two homers and 35 RBIs. His consistency at the plate helped shape the team’s offensive rhythm.
Coach Mike McRae praised the trio, noting that their recognition reflects both individual talent and the program’s upward trajectory. The selections come as the Wildcats look to build on a promising campaign and contend for postseason berths.
