The Green Bay Packers have teamed up with Equip Sport and NFL Germany to install twelve branded stations throughout Munich, each stocked with flag football gear that can be borrowed free of charge.
This rollout forms part of the franchise’s broader engagement in Germany via the NFL Global Markets Program, a strategic push to generate excitement ahead of the first regular‑season game slated for the FC Bayern Munich Stadium in November.
Joan Malcheski, the Packers’ director of brand strategy and marketing, highlighted the initiative as a way to “connect with sports fans in Munich” and to lower the barrier for newcomers eager to experience the game.
How to Use the Stations
Accessing the equipment is simple: users locate a nearby station, download the Equip Sport app, reserve the desired gear and head to the park to start playing, all without any cost.
Equip’s reach extends well beyond Munich; the company has deployed more than five hundred stations across Europe, turning public parks and recreational spaces into informal sports hubs.
In Berlin and Düsseldorf, NFL Germany and several partner clubs have launched similar stations, creating a growing network of accessible football experiences throughout the continent.
