A Texas Native’s Rise
Brock Riker grew up in Brock, Texas, where he starred at Brock High School and attracted attention from college recruiters.
He committed to Texas State University as part of the 2024 recruiting class, joining a program led by coach GJ Kinne in San Marcos, and spent his redshirt freshman year appearing in three games to preserve eligibility while gaining experience on the offensive line.
The following season he broke into the starting lineup at center, earning second‑team freshman All‑American honors and helping Texas State achieve a successful campaign that highlighted his potential as a future Division I talent.
Portal Move and Penn State Commitment
After the season, Riker entered the transfer portal and, after a brief recruitment process, announced his commitment to Penn State on January 10, 2026, citing the program’s tradition and the opportunity to compete at a higher level.
With three years of eligibility remaining, he is expected to contend for a starting role on Penn State’s offensive line, a position that could prove decisive for the Nittany Lions as they prepare for their season opener against Marshall, which is just over a month away.
