The 2026 Atlanta Summer League wrapped up with ATL Hockey Collective hoisting the championship trophy, marking a milestone for the fledgling franchise.
The competition gathered more than 50 athletes, spanning professional contracts, college standouts and junior prospects, creating a unique cross‑level arena for talent evaluation.
A New Era for Atlanta Hockey
Among the standout performers were Chase Pearson, a veteran of the Atlanta Fire, and Lukas Gustafsson, a Georgia native who returned home to test his skills before heading back to the Manitoba Moose for the upcoming season. Geno Carcone, hailing from Woodstock, also impressed with his offensive output, while 18‑year‑old Vladimir Romankov dazzled with his speed and nine points in four games.
Logan Stein, another home‑grown talent, demonstrated his readiness after a stint developing overseas, while Luke Goukler led collegiate participants with 15 points and secured a commitment to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Liam Waugh, from Lawrenceville, added ten points and will continue his education at Western New England University.
Beyond the on‑ice action, ATL Hockey Collective announced plans to broaden its outreach, introducing youth tournaments and expanded player development programs aimed at nurturing the next generation of hockey players in the region.
