The Hightstown Post 148 baseball team posted their tenth win of the season, defeating North Hamilton 4-3 in a tightly fought Mercer County American Legion League contest.
Deane’s Masterful Outing
Ben Deane took the mound and threw a complete game, limiting North Hamilton to just three hits while striking out eight batters.
Jason Villani contributed at the plate with two hits, including a triple, and drove in two runs to help the Post 148 offense.
North Hamilton’s offense was led by Chris Alonzo, who went 2-for-3, and J.P. Santos, who added two RBIs.
Allentown’s Offensive Explosion
Allentown rallied to a 12-9 victory over Broad Street Park, with Ryan Todisco going 3-for-5 and delivering a double, a triple, a run scored and an RBI.
Antonio Acevedo and Colin Ruth combined to restrict Broad Street Park to three hits, while Dan Golembiewski homered and drove in three runs for the winners.
Simeon McDaniel knocked in two runs for Broad Street Park, but the effort fell short.
Bordentown’s Dominance Over Trenton
Bordentown defeated Trenton 9-3, with Liam Velit and Chris Basile each collecting two hits and two RBIs, and Aidan Parsons and William Alexeev adding two runs apiece.
Joslius Reyes also contributed two runs for Trenton, but the team could not overcome Bordentown’s balanced attack.
