EA Sports has rolled out the first major title update for College Football 27, zeroing in on the game’s Dynasty mode. The patch introduces three distinct levels for Coach XP speed, giving players the ability to accelerate their progression through the mode in a way that feels more responsive to their playstyle.
While the Road to Glory sliders remain untouched, the update builds on the existing structure of the mode, ensuring that the new XP tiers integrate smoothly without disrupting the overall flow of a season.
A New Direction for Dynasty Mode
In response to a wave of fan criticism, EA Sports has completely removed microtransactions from the progression systems for both players and coaches. The fastest XP setting that was available in the previous installment has been taken out, and the remaining options now come with three selectable speeds.
The update also expands the Dynasty Blueprint, adding a feature that allows recruits to receive NIL payments and giving coaches a dedicated budget for staffing. This change reflects a broader effort to make the college football experience more realistic and player‑focused.
EA Sports has announced that another title update will arrive next week, promising further refinements. The game, priced at $69.99 for the Standard Edition and $99.99 for the Deluxe Edition, is currently available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, Epic Games, and the EA app.
