A Brief Reunion at Baylor
Carrington and Smith first became romantically linked in 2020 while both were members of Baylor’s championship‑winning women’s basketball team, a relationship that persisted into the professional ranks and even saw them share the court for the Dallas Wings in 2025.
While Smith, Kelly and Nye have yet to issue any public response, the allegation could ripple through the league, potentially influencing the dynamics of upcoming games between Carrington’s Chicago Sky and the franchises coached by Smith and Nye.
Adding to the storyline, Carrington is slated to make her debut with the Chicago Sky later this week after completing rehabilitation from a foot injury that sidelined her for much of the preseason.
