Among the newcomers is long snapper Andrew Dufault, a redshirt sophomore who arrived from Westwood, Massachusetts. Ranked as the top long snapper by Rubio Long Snapping Camp, Dufault is entering his third year with the Nittany Lions and brings a blend of pedigree and perseverance.
Although his collegiate snap count remains limited, Dufault has already earned Academic All‑Big Ten recognition, underscoring his commitment to both athletics and scholarship. He currently sits behind senior Blaise Sokach‑Minnick on the depth chart, but coaches see an opportunity for him to assume a larger role as the team’s special‑teams unit evolves.
Before college, Dufault distinguished himself as a standout in track and field at Westwood High, specializing in shot put and discus. His performances earned him a spot at the Massachusetts State Championship, highlighting a versatility that extends beyond the gridiron.
