Albemarle Parks and Recreation is opening its fall soccer league to children aged 15 and younger, inviting families to enroll before the July 24 deadline.
The league is set to kick off on August 17, with practices slated to begin in mid‑August and games rolling out in September, extending through late October or early November.
Fees are $65 for Albemarle residents and $85 for non‑residents, and each participant will receive a shirt and a pair of socks from the department.
Parents are asked to supply cleats and shin guards, while the department will handle the provision of uniforms and field preparation.
Volunteer Coaches Needed
The department is seeking volunteers to coach every age division, from the peewee group for ages three to four up through the 15‑and‑under category.
Those who sign up will work with the department to determine practice days and times, helping to shape the schedule for each team.

Games and practices will be held at the Albemarle Soccer Complex on College Drive, near Stanly Community College, which features three adjustable full‑size fields designed to accommodate younger participants.
In addition to soccer, the department is currently accepting fall registrations for girls volleyball for students in fifth through eighth grades, coach‑pitch baseball for ages 6‑9, and minors baseball for ages 9‑10.
