Head coach Stefanie Golan has turned the offseason into a period of intense activity, overseeing recruiting trips, running camps and integrating a wave of newcomers into the squad. The arrival of forwards Riley Wilkerson and Mia Devrouax adds depth to an attacking third that was hungry for fresh options.
Veteran midfielder Collin Anderson returns to provide continuity, while Landis Canada brings experience to a midfield that will be charged with linking defense to attack. The coaching staff has emphasized early acclimation, starting the team’s cohesion earlier than any previous season.
Walton Plaza Debut
The first opportunity to test the new Walton Plaza will come on August 5, when the Tigers host Saint Louis University on a freshly renovated practice field. Players have praised the surface for its consistency and feel, noting that the improved traction could translate into more precise finishing.
Golan highlighted the team’s focus on scoring more goals as a cornerstone of their strategy. ‘We want to put the ball in the net more often,’ she said, ‘and that starts with the belief that we can break through to the SEC tournament.’
