Princeton Men's Ice Hockey Team Earns ECAC All-Academic Honor for Third Consecutive Season
The Princeton University men's ice hockey program has once again been celebrated by the ECAC for its academic excellence, securing the league's All-Academic distinction for the third straight season.
All thirty players on the roster posted a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 throughout their Princeton careers, underscoring the team's commitment to scholarly achievement alongside athletic performance.
Senior forward Ian Devlin distinguished himself by earning a place on the Commissioner's List, an honor reserved for the student-athlete with the highest overall GPA among the team's members.
Head coach Ben Syer took the opportunity to highlight the program's emphasis on holistic development, noting that the players are as dedicated in the classroom as they are on the ice.
The athletes span a broad spectrum of academic concentrations, including Economics, Politics and International Affairs, Psychology, Operations Research, Financial Engineering, and Undeclared fields of study.
Coach Syer added that this culture of excellence prepares the students for future leadership roles, reinforcing Princeton's tradition of cultivating individuals who excel both in sport and in scholarship.
