A Summer of Giving
James Coleman, a former Florida State football standout, returned to his hometown of Tallahassee this summer to run his sixth annual football camp at the Florida A&M University Developmental Research School, welcoming children between six and sixteen.
The camp, which followed a successful backpack and food drive organized by Coleman earlier in the season, offered not only drills and scrimmages but also lessons on teamwork, discipline, and giving back to the community.
Speaking to the assembled crowd, Coleman urged other local players to follow suit, emphasizing that true impact comes from sacrificing time to mentor the next generation and help them recognize their own worth.
Looking ahead, Coleman said he plans to keep the momentum going, promising to return next year and to continue building pathways for young athletes to give back to the community that shaped them.
