Cedarville Men’s Basketball Secures NABC Academic Excellence Award for Tenth Consecutive Year

Six Yellowjackets earn Honors Court recognition as program celebrates fourth straight season of team GPA above 3.0

Cedarville University’s men’s basketball program continues to blend athletic competitiveness with scholarly achievement, as the Yellowjackets were honored with the 2025‑26 NABC Team Academic Excellence Award.

The recognition comes alongside a distinguished list of six student‑athletes who earned spots on the NABC Honors Court, highlighting the program’s commitment to academic rigor.

A Decade of Consistent Representation

This marks the tenth straight season that Cedarville has been represented on the Honors Court, underscoring a sustained culture of excellence both on the hardwood and in the classroom.

Equally notable is the fourth consecutive year the team has captured the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award, a testament to the program’s ability to maintain a collective GPA of at least 3.0.

Spotlight on the Honorees

The six Yellowjackets named to the Honors Court — Will Gibson, Mikail Harmison, Sam Johnson, Anthony Ruffolo, Aaron Smith and Brady Woodall — each carry a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher, meeting the stringent criteria for the accolade.

Across the nation, more than 2,300 players received Honors Court selections and over 400 programs were celebrated with the Team Academic Excellence Award, placing Cedarville among a select group of institutions that excel in both arenas.
