The SPASH girls soccer team has been honored with the Platinum Team Ethics and Sportsmanship Award from United Soccer Coaches, recognizing a flawless 2026 season in which no player or coach received a yellow or red card.
The accolade, which is awarded to only eight high school programs nationwide and stands as the sole platinum designation in Wisconsin, underscores the team’s commitment to fair play and disciplined conduct on the field.
Alongside the ethical honor, the Panthers also captured the 2026 Wisconsin Valley Conference championship, cementing their dominance in the league while maintaining a spotless disciplinary record.
United Soccer Coaches highlighted the broader context of the award, noting that 47 high school teams across the country were acknowledged for exemplary sportsmanship, with recognitions spanning platinum, gold, silver and bronze tiers.
Platinum status is reserved for squads that finish the season without any cards, a standard that reflects both on‑field discipline and off‑field respect toward opponents and officials.

‘Our players understood that true success is measured by how we treat the game and those involved,’ Loss said, emphasizing the team’s focus on sportsmanship throughout the campaign.
The team’s previous silver‑level recognition in 2025 illustrates a steady upward trajectory, reinforcing a culture that values integrity as much as skill.
