Texas Christian University’s men’s basketball program has been celebrated by the National Association of Basketball Coaches for its commitment to scholarly achievement.
Academic Excellence on the Court
The NABC Team Academic Excellence Award, which acknowledges programs that post a collective grade point average of at least 3.0, was granted to the Horned Frogs for the 2025‑26 season.
Three senior standouts — Drew McElroy, Jayden Pierre and Trey Stuart — were selected for the NABC Honors Court, a distinction reserved for juniors, seniors and graduate students who maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
These recognitions underscore the university’s growing emphasis on balancing athletic competition with rigorous academic standards, a trend that reflects the institution’s broader mission to develop well‑rounded leaders.
