Manhattan University has named Abby Streeter as an assistant coach for its women's basketball program, tapping a candidate whose career spans professional play and coaching at the highest levels of the sport.
A Strategic Addition to the Coaching Staff
Streeter's basketball journey began in college, where she starred at Rhode Island, Hartford and Rutgers. At Rhode Island she recorded a career‑high 20 points against Brown, while at Hartford she led the team with 78 three‑pointers and averaged 9.6 points per game. In her final season at Rutgers she appeared in all 32 games and ranked second on the squad with 27 made three‑pointers.
After college she took her game overseas, competing professionally in Puerto Rico and Japan from 2023 through 2025, gaining experience that would later inform her coaching philosophy.
Before joining Manhattan, Streeter served as head coach at the Darrow School, where she compiled a 47‑14 record over two seasons. Her teams captured the NEPSAC AA Championship in both years and advanced to the National Prep Championship Final Four, a testament to her ability to develop talent quickly.
Under her guidance, ten players earned NEPSAC All‑League honors and six secured roster spots at NCAA Division I programs, underscoring her reputation as a developer of elite prospects.
Streeter also contributed to Southern New Hampshire University, helping the program earn an NCAA Tournament berth and producing a WBCA All‑American and a Northeast 10 Player of the Year during her tenure.
Her blend of playing experience, international perspective and proven coaching success positions her to strengthen the Jaspers' recruiting pipeline and on‑court performance as the program looks to build on recent momentum.
